NOTES:
Beck initially wrote this song with William Orbit, who was going to put it on his long delayed new album, but years went by as the song sat on the shelf. In 2003, the Charlie's Angels people wanted it as the big soundtrack single for the Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle soundtrack, but the timing was bad with Sea Change still around, so Beck refused.
The Charlie's Angels people then came back and said Pink, who had been working with Orbit on her new album, heard the song and wanted to cover it. After mulling it over for awhile, Beck said OK, but the end result is the same song with all Beck's guitar and vocals taken out and replaced by Pink along with other slight production changes. Beck does retain a writers credit on the final product though.
The main riff of the song is a sample from a Beck favorite, 60's psych-rock band, Spirit's "Fresh Garbage" off their self-titled record.
